About Nahomi
Hi Everyone! My name is Nahomi and I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. I will be starting my Masters program in Business and Science. Soon after I will be applying for med school. I also have 1 year of tutoring experience. I've tutored high schoolers and middle schoolers in math (except calculus) and science (chemistry and biology). I am somebody who completely understand the frustrations with math and science. Although it has not been an easy road with practice, patience, and commitment you will understand it. I believe in you!
I've always had a passion for STEM education advocacy, mentoring, and teaching. I want students to know that math and science is not just for the selected few it is for everybody. Everybody can understand it and do well. Like everything in life you have make time for it. I hope to inspire more students to pursue STEM.
The combination of my academic and professional experiences has helped me foster a strong skill set - approachability, creating a warm and inclusive environment, excellent communicator, strong leadership skills, and working well with others which will enable me to provide invaluable help to students.
