About Karvi
Hello! I am an honors Finance student at the University of Texas at Dallas. I have been tutoring since 2016 in a multitude of subjects including French, geometry, pre-calculus, SAT math and elementary math. One of the most valuable things in this world is education, which is why I enjoy connecting with my students and clients to ensure I can provide them with all the help they need. I am so excited to get to know you!
I got into tutoring because one of my teachers recommended me to tutor another student.
I have always excelled in math and find it to be one of my favorite subjects. I have taken math up to IB HL Math and College Calculus I.

I usually will first assess the student's problem areas. Once I have identified them and the student recognizes them, I will focus on conceptual understanding and prescribe practice techniques based on my own personal experience.
My youngest student was in 3rd grade and my oldest student was in 11th grade, so I have a pretty big age range!
Typically with private tutors, it's hard to go wrong, but make sure that your tutor provides you advice that will carry over to other disciplines and parts of your life. It's what separates a good teacher from a great teacher!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Before I, or another teacher, identifies your weaknesses, try identifying them yourself. It will not only save time and money but it will help you, the student, learn more efficiently.
