About Maegan
I have been a teacher for eight years now. Since college, I have been tutoring students elementary through college level.
For four years, I revised and edited college level papers for my university's writing center.
I now tutor individual students in all subjects first through eighth.
Working with students makes me excited and blessed. The best part of the job is helping a student achieve something they didn't think was possible.
First of all, I am a certified teacher in Texas. For many years, I have had many opportunities to work with students in other cultures. I taught English in Japan. Also, while working in Texas public school, I have written curriculum and testing material for a school district I worked for. I have also worked with students with learning needs (ESL, ADHD, Dyslexia). I am also trained and certified to teach GT (gifted and talented) students.

I love to have a nice discussion with the student's parent first. I ask for the them to explain any health/learning issues their child has. If possible, I request any teacher notes. This helps me focus in on specific topics/skill sets their child needs.

Details
I charge a flat rate of $50 an hour. I am open to meeting at the student's home, but I prefer the first meeting with the parents in a public place.
