About Abigail
I am a certified teacher who is willing to go above and beyond to help your student. I work hard to make my lessons relate to your personal student interest.
Teaching is my passion in life. Nothing is more rewarding seeing that "aha" moment on students' faces when they finally understand the material.
Growing up I had a significant learning disability. While I always loved learning, I often struggled in school because I never had teachers who understood that I just learned alittle differntly. I wanted to be a teacher so that I could help students who were like me and to show students that learning can be fun!
I graduate with honors from Mercer Univeristy with a Holstic Child degree. I am a certified teacher for grades K-5th and certified for special education.

When working with a new student the first question I will ask them is "What is your end goal?". This answer will help me understand the purpose of this lesson(s). I will then assess the student's current knowledge and abilities. From there I will create an instructional plan that uses small obtainable goals to help your student reach their end goal.
Currently, I am a 5th-grade teacher. I have worked with a wide range of students with various abilities, backgrounds, and interests. Most of my experience is with working with students who have learning disabilities or need additional academic support.
