About Chris
I have years of experience successfully helping students from a variety of educational backgrounds, with a variety of learning disabilities and other academic challenges, including math anxiety.
My main goals in tutoring are to: Help the student develop a growth mindset; Identify learning styles, strengths, and challenges; Fill-in missing knowledge bases; Teach the student how to find the information they need; Help to develop confidence, proficiency, and strong study skills.
I offer a variety of face-to-face and online tutoring services including:
Homework help, exam preparation, supplementary lessons, data analysis help using SPSS, assistance with research proposal-writing, and math tutoring (basic math skills thru precalculus).
I had an exceptionally positive experience in college due to the support of a few key professors and mentors. They became my role-models, and it soon became my goal to 'pay-it-forward' by helping other students to have an equally uplifting experience. Tutoring allows me to do just that.
Tutoring has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had and I hope to become a statistics teacher one day soon.
