About Destine
I am an amazing tutor ! Great personality that will help you be at ease and ready to learn what you thought you couldn't. I like to use my tutees interest to help them understand that challenging topics.
My first job out of college was being a math tutor and inclassroom support within a math class for a program called City Year. After a year of tutoring, I realized I wanted more experience and responsibilities concenring the classroom, so I became a preschool teacher. I have tutored a few students here and there while being a teacher and now I have decided to tutor full time.
I have done several years of tutoring since high school. I have a bachelors degree in teaching and I am currently working on the Master's degree in education administration.

Well I think its very important to get to know my students. We can talk about your interests, hobbies, as well as hwo they feel about the subject of math.
I'll also ask them questions concerning their study habits. How are they in the classroom? Do they take notes? Do they ask their teacher questions when they don't understand? Do they study and if so. for how long and how many times a week?
Lastly, I would like to know what specific topics do they have a hard time learning. It's typical for the students to get stuck in one objective and have a hard time going to the next objective.
I have worked with elementary, middle school and high school math students.
Please take this opportunity seriously. Tutoring is more than just receiving help with your homework. It is an opportunity to learn who you are and your habits concerning the classroom. Be honest so that you can have a much more successful experience in the classroom with your homework, quizzes, and tests.
