About Annalee
Annalee is a native Michigan resident having graduated from a career-focused business school, obtaining a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering. She works full time as a project manager in the life safety (ex. smoke and carbon monoxide detectors) industry and is dedicated to making the world a safer place.
Annie has worked as a professional tutor for over eight years, specializing in mathematics. She has extensive experience in middle and high school mathematics including Algebra and Calculus. In addition to mathematics, Annie has also worked with students on their ACT/SAT and has successfully aided all of her students in achieving their targeted scores.
When she is not working or tutoring, she enjoys playing with her two Australian Shepherds (Pickle and Bonzo). Annie was in a professional cover band, playing keys and on lead vocals, from 2015 to 2020 and still enjoys playing music today. She also enjoys swimming and reading, when time allows.
Annie possesses a mechanical engineering degree and have an in-depth understanding of academic mathematics. She is able to modify my teaching approach to meet each student's unique needs and is extremely accessible and is willing to help out students at any time.
In all of her tutoring sessions, Annie prioritizes student engagement and works to keep all sessions fun and light. She often leads with an example-based approach, but is able to modify the session's style to fit each individual student's needs. She has a philosophy that every student can be good at math (school), if given the right tools and support. Annie takes this philosophy into every tutoring session and is dedicated in her mission to build a student's confidence.

When working with a new student, I first like to review with the student what they believe their strengths and weaknesses are in academics and learn about the student's current feelings about math. From there, working with the student, I customize a short term and long term strategy agreement that outlines what the students goals are and how we can accomplish them.
