About Kasden
My philosophy is student-centric. The goal is to do more than just ace an exam and get a good grade. It is also to build a general academic confidence, and to empower the student to love learning, study independently, realize their full academic potential, and succeed in all their academic endeavors.
After graduating from UC Berkeley, I worked as a software engineer for two software companies in the Bay Area: C3.ai and Google. I missed tutoring though, and left Google to pursue that passion.
I love everything about it!

- Building student understanding through strong fundamentals and dedicated practice.
- Seeing the smiles of students who successfully figure out a difficult problem and begin to realize their academic potential.
- Seeing students become more capable, more confident in themselves, and more willing to take control of their academic future.
For 3 years, I worked as math and computer science tutor at Columbia College, and I earned my CRLA 1 tutoring certification.
In my time working in industry, at C3.ai and Google, I kept my math and computer science skills sharp.

I work hard to understand each student's individual needs. Usually, there a few specific issues that shake their confidence in the entire subject, and when we can resolve those few issues, they quickly gain confidence in the entire subject. My goal is to make students confident in their academic abilties, so that they are empowered to study and succeed independently and take control of their academic future
