About Samual
Hello everyone! My name's Sam! I'm a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Over the years studying math, I've developed a strong interest in not just the math itself but its pedagogy. I've had wonderful math instructors as well as not so wonderful ones. The truth is that most of the math in highschool or college is not nearly as complicated as it appears. However, it is often communicated poorly.
Although I've recieved plenty of A's on math exams, I still understand what it feels like to not understand a concept. Seeing things from the student's perspective is critical in conveying new ideas and I carry this perspective in mind when teaching.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

The first step is to determine precisely what the student is struggling with or trying to improve. It's important to have a sense of the mathematical background of the student in order to effectively communicate and approach the topics in question. I prefer not to give lessons but rather create a dialogue between the student and myself.
