About Trisha
Being a current college student myself, I know some of the struggles that come with learning required material. I have recently graduated with a couple associates degrees in Music, and am currently pursuing a Bachelors of Musical Performance in Voice. Being a vocal student, I must be able to understand music concepts in order to properly perform and interpret a piece of music. This performance background allows me to show and present an application of techniques that are discussed in Music Theory. I believe the application is very important in understanding the function of music. It is one thing to read about a concept, but another to see and hear it in action.
I have a passion for music and special love and interest in music theory which makes tutoring in the field of music enjoyable. I enjoy watching the lightbulb go off when someone understands a concept and when they light up with joy and relief because of that understanding.
I have two associates degrees in Music from Moreno Valley College. There I have taken music theory courses that cover fundamental concepts, basic composition, analysis, musical techniques of each century, etc. I am proficient in piano as it is the most referenced instrument in understanding music theory. I have also had vocal training for 2 years.

I would need to first evaluate their initial level of understanding. Then, I would create a personalized plan to aid them in the specific struggle areas and make sure they have a strong understanding of each concept before building.
