About Jack
I have been tutoring for 6 years and study cell biology at Iona College. I am also in the Honors Program and have almost completed a curriculum that includes subjects as varied as philosophy, psychology, French, statistics, and more. This program has made me versatile.
I enjoy watching the growth of the student before my eyes, week after week. Even if it is steady growth, being apart of that improvement is definitely a gratifying experience.
I was a tutor for the National Honors Society in high school for two years. I tutored many kids from that privately after I graduated for a variety of different subjects. Recently, I've tutored at Gorton High School with the Liberty Partnership Program through Iona College.

I have always worked with students at least 2-3 years younger than me. Most of the time I ask the student what they need help on. They should have questions, homework, and other types of things that are able to be worked on. When I start to get an understanding of what might be helpful for the student, then I can start preparing material.
I have worked with students of all ages. I have worked with children between the ages of 5-8 as well as high school seniors. I have mostly tutored students in middle school or early high school, but am capable of all handling all ages and social backgrounds.
