About Michelle
Hello! My name is Michelle and I'm currently a rising senior at CUNY Baruch College in NYC. I'm a digital marketing analytics major, and have been a mathematics tutor for about 6 years. I have tutored in all subjects and grade levels starting from kindergarten and elementary math going up to Calculus, and Regents and SAT/ACT math test preparation.
What I enjoy most about the work I do is seeing how inspiring I can be to students and helping them want to learn more and make themselves better. Not only is it inspiring to them, it is also inspiring to me and makes me want to teach for many more years to come.
I have been a mathemtics tutor since the middle of my high school journey, and have progressed to teaching all levels of math starting from kindergarten to grade 12 (calculus) and SAT/ACT preparation.

My typical process for working with a new student is always assessing how they approach any given problem/question and figuring out their thought process. Then comes assessing their strengths and weaknesses, and their personality (shy, outgoing, etc) in order to come up with the best personalized tutoring approach.
I have work with students ages 5-22.
Find a tutor that you can get along with, almost like a friend you can relate to, but one that you respect.

Perfect! She’s very pleasant and patient. The small amount of time she got to tutor with my granddaughter helped. If it weren’t for was going on I would have continued having her tutor my granddaughter.

Michelle tutors my son in 6th grade middle school math and Russian reading/writing. She is an excellent addition to my son’s academic success, and language development (we moved from Russia a few decades ago and don’t want him to lose the language). My son gets agitated and distracted in school which makes his grades suffer. Michelle has been helping my son get back into loving school and math and getting his grades up. She even helps with projects, in addition to homework. Also, She is a native Russian speaker and has helped us help him succeed in school in mathematics and learning a language. A gem of a tutor!
Michelle was my tutor for 2 years while I was struggling with Geometry and Trigonometry. What I liked the most was she always had a fun way of teaching, and taught me interesting ways of remembering concepts that really help ed me understand. Thanks to Michelle I was able to score very high on my SAT math subject test. She was super patient with me, through all my difficulties and I really appreciate that
