About Noah
Hi, my name is Noah and I am currently double-majoring in computer and electrical engineering at NCSU. I have expertise in math all the way up to Calculus 3. I also have extensive knowledge on physics up to a college level, as well as programming, chemistry, and biology experience. In highschool, I attended the NC School of Science and Mathematics.
During my time at the NC school of science and math, I was a teaching assistant for the engineering department. I thoroughly enjoyed this job, and recieved invaluable experience teaching other students. I love to teach, not only because I get to see improvement in another person, but improvement in myself!
I am studying electrical and computer engineering at NCSU and have experience up to multivariable calculus, college physics, college chemistry, biology, and college English.

When I work with a new student, the most crucial thing is to get to know them. Not necessarily get to know their knowledge on the subject I am teaching, but get to know how they think. How fast do they learn? Are they a visual or auditory learner? Or, how absorbent are they? I ask myself all of these questions, and more, to get a feel of what approach would work best to teach a new student most efficiently. From there, I like to set up a structured method of teaching involving three main parts: explain, example, engage. Firstly, I explain what the topic is, and how it works, and then, I give an example for the student to solve. Lastly, I engage their thought process in solving that example; whether or not they did it correctly.
