About Henry
As a computer science major at Middlebury College, I have taken math courses ranging from introductory algebra to more advanced and theoretical topics such as linear algebra.
I am willing to tutor a wide range of math topics for students during the summer looking to solidify their understanding of any math topics. I work with students to understand their individual needs within an area of mathematics before I begin any form of teaching. By doing this, I can create an individual curriculum for each student to excel in their own individual way.
In highschool I would help my friends with harder topics in math courses, often having them come to my house to better understand said topics. I have even prepared peers for collegiate algebraic placement exams.

I graduated from Norwell High school with a 3.87 GPA, and I have continued my mathematical studies at Middlebury College.
The ability to enrich another persons knowledge of any subject is something that gives me great joy, and I would love to offer that enrichment to those looking for some help in mathematics. Seeing the "lightbulb" go off in a students mind is truly amazing, and I would love to offer that comprehension to any student seeking help in mathematics.

I first pinpoint the topic that the student is having trouble with. My next step is not to jump into teaching the topic. Rather, I ask the student why they do not understand the topic, or what about the topic confuses them. I believe that blindly jumping into lecturing and drilling will only serve to confuse the student more. I separate myself by working closely with each individual student's confusion or area to improve, and then begin tailoring a unique solution for that specific student. I find this to be a better way to help a student learn and grow.
