About Enage
I genuinely have a passion for math and love math to an exceptional extent.
I currently hold a 7/9 in my math IGCSE'S, 24 in my math ACT as well as a 7/7 for Math Applications and Interpretations.
I tutored during my time in highschool with my friends and have picked up mulitple ways to make learning mathematics easier for those who are struggling. As a person who can also pick apart and make explanations more simple and easier to understand, I feel as though I could genuinely help in making math a bit simpler.

I started tutoring in highschool, helping my friends with their math homework.
Ive taken IGCSE/IB/ACT and Ive also looked over BGCSE (pertaining more closely to caribbean islands) mathematics.

Asking them where they may have problems, if they can name specifics then I know where Id be able to start.
Id also know what resources I'd be able to recommend.
Id ask of the student would rather text or verbally communicate because I understand some people may have anxiety or just prefer not to speak.
Id also ask if the student was interested in using the resources I could recommend such as youtube and other forms.
Ive worked with primary, middle and highschool students.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SAY WHEN A TEACHER IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU.
In my personal experience, I know that a teacher, they way they teach and the way they speak and offer help can be extremely detrimental to your learning and experience. Sometimes there are teachers you just do not connect with and it makes your experience tiresome and difficult. If a teacher is not the right fit for you, please speak up and say.
Theres always a specifc event Im fond of which is when students finally catch on, learn something and realise how easy it is and they say "Ohhhh" with a look of relief on their faces.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
When this teacher has answered my questions or helped me in the past, did it actually help me? Or did it make me more confused?
Do I know which topics I struggle with or would we need to through the syllabus and pick out certain topics?
Would I rather a tutor who texts or speaks?
(I understand that some students would rather type than speak)
Would I be interested in taking the time to practice, watch and use the resources my teacher provides?
