About Kylie
My name is Kylie Logan and I am 17 years old! As an AP Calculus student, I know what it's like to have trouble in math. The subject of mathematics can be the most frustrating, yet fun subject in my opinion. My goal is to help those struggling with math so that they can have fun with it!
While I have never technically tutored, I often help my friends taking Geometry, Algebra 2, and pre calculus. I often get feedback from my friends saying that I did a better job teaching than their own teacher!
While I am only a junior in high school, I am two years ahead on math. This means that I have taken Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and I am currently taking AP Calculus. I have never received a B on my report card for math, except for Algebra 2. I currently hold a 92 average in Calculus. I am certain that my skills will be helpful, as I love helping others learn to love math.
As someone who enjoys math, I want others to feel the same way! When math isn't frustrating for me, I have a lot of fun. Math to me is like a puzzle that is fun to solve.
I began teaching my friends since they are in lower math classes than me.
Completed:
Honors Algebra, Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, Pre-AP Pre-Calculus, and currently taking AP Calculus
I often help my friends with math since they know I'm a good teacher.

My first step is to learn about their learning style, as everyone has a different way of understanding concepts. If I'm teaching a new concept, then I will try visual as well as verbal techniques to see which works best for them.
I've mostly worked with high school and middle school kids.
The traits I look for would be someone with patience with a high degree of knowledge in the subject.
I helped my friend go from a D average in math to an A! I sat down with him for a couple hours and explained concepts he missed in class.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I believe students should figure out whether they are visual or verbal learners. Knowing their learning style can enable steady learning!
