About Snega
Hi! I am 23 years old and in my first year of optometry school which is on break for the summer. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019 with a Biology degree and love tutoring kids. I helped tutor kids while working at Kumon and have also had a few mentoring experiences as well. I believe a comfortable environment is crucial to learning properly and my patient, reliable, and caring nature is sure to help create that. I worked at Kumon for a year tutoring kids. I have also been in a few mentoring groups. In addition, I have experience tutoring my little sister and cousins specifically in math, reading, and dance. I've learned that patience is key!

First, I would speak with the student and assess what they are struggling with and why that is. Then I would work together with them to determine what their most comfortable learning environment is. Finally, I would create a proper learning plan for the student to ensure that all issues are addressed and they learn the subject with a proper and solid foundation.
I would tell them to choose the tutor that not only best exemplifies a successful education, but also knows how to share that knowledge. The smartest people aren't always the best teachers because they often assume their student has that same knowledge. Balance is key to being a good tutor and a good teacher so keep an eye out for that.
