About Eugene
My tutoring services stand out because I don't just prioritize comprehension of the subject I tutor, but also a deep enthusiasm and optimism for it. My goal is to have pupils leave sessions feeling confident and ready to tackle whatever is thrown at them by their instructors. I think math is something that should evoke a sense of eagerness and pride as opposed to helplessness and fear, and so as long as those I tutor are willing to keep having those light bulb moments, math won't be a menace to them, rather a welcome challenge.
I have a highschool diploma and a 1370 score on the SAT, as well as some experience tutoring peers outside of class, particularly in Geometry, Algebra 2, AP Statistics, and essay-writing in AP Literature and Composition. I am currently enrolled as a full-time student at the University of Florida in Gainesville where I'm working towards a Bachelor's in Psychology.

First, I'll schedule a good time with them just to consult and get to know them while getting a good grasp of their strengths and weaknesses in their respective subject. Then, I'll let them point me towards specific concepts they're struggling with within that subject and have them forward me some practice/homework problems I can look over for them. If they decide to go ahead and book a session, I will work out a good time with them or a parent, and then during that following session, I will jump straight into assisting them with the problems they sent me, along with some I constructed on my own.
