About Alexandra
I am a sophmore at Brown University double concentrating in History and Modern Culture & Media with a 4.0 GPA. I attended Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles where I graduated with a 4.45 GPA and received the Cum Laude award. I have been tutoring in a variety of subjects since my sophmore year of high school. I also got a 1560 on my SAT through a study plan that I created for myself. I have tutored (and continue to tutor in) elementary/middle school math and english, high school math (i.e. geometry, AP calc, algebra, etc), chemistry, biology, history and SAT prep. My tutoring services have been greatly appreciated by both the parents and students because of how much the students enjoy the sessions and because students' teachers have mentioned to parents the rapid progress they notice after just a few weeks of tutoring.
I love getting to watch my students improve and become more confident in the work that they are doing. With this, it brings me so much joy to see the moment when students become genuinely excited about the work instead of it being another requirement. Finally, it is really important to me that the sessions are enjoyable and foster a positive association with work and my students have told me how much they appreciate my approach to tutoring.
