About David
I love the power and convenience for both the teacher and student with on line tutoring. I have over 34 years of teaching experience and cater my services to student needs and goals. I use the internet to drive home concepts and skills and provide a dynamic environment where the student is constantly active and engaged in thier learning process.
I love seeing the excitement of students feeling successful and the enthusiasm that emerges when they more fully understand material they previously found difficult.
I worked in a 5th grade classroom who wanted help setting up a student newspaper as a teacher's assistant. I went on to get my teaching credentials.
I have over 34 years of experience working in the classroom as a certified teacher, have credentials in general subjects K-6, a Math Education masters degree and a seconday credential in Social Studies and History.

I first find out the specific needs for my student, their goals and their experience with the subject I am tutoring them in. I ask them about postive learning experiences to help me deterine which teaching styles work best with them. I also find out what specific content they are working with and line up information and actve learning experiences from the internet to. help the achieve their learning objectives.
I have worked with special needs students, English language learners and all ages.
To the best of your ability find out what your specfic goals are regarding the subject you need tutoring in, as well as needs, deficiencies and how a tutor could help you in that particular area.
I am particularly fond of helping a friend with his study habits and content regarding a personal training fitness program.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What parts of the content they are learning do they understand the best, which parts do they understand the least. Talk about sucesses with the subject and talk about areas of need.
