About Spencer
Hi! I am a Aerospace PhD student at the University of Washington (UW). I received a bachelors in Mathematics from UW. I have a passion for mathematics and helping others learn and appreciate matheamtics. I understand the difficulties of math in regards to AP exams, college exams, homework assignemnts, and also internship (particuarly coding) interviews. I have tutored friends and family in the past, and I would love to help more. I also had an internship at a robotics company and another at an audio software company where I utilized machine learning methods.

I first want to understand their goal. Are you having trouble understanding core concepts? Are you preparing for an AP or college exam? Are you having trouble with homework? From there, I try to identify any core concepts the student might lack understanding in. From there, I develop exercises for them to do, and walk them through a few.
I have tutored math with friends and family in the past.
Find a tutor you can bond with, one you can chat and laugh with. Also make sure the tutor is proficient at preparing exercises that target core concepts you might lack udnerstanding in.
My friend was having difficulty in his college calculus class. I sat down with him a few times and identified core concepts he lacked understanding in. I'm happy to say he later scored the highest in class on his calculus midterm!
