About Cheyna
I am a college student, studying Elementary Education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language. I have a passion for teaching and helping others succeed. During the school year, I am a substitute teacher on days that I don't have class. I have previously volunteered in an elementary school where I worked with advanced students and struggling students on a wide variety of subjects, I've worked as an ESL tutor, and I have worked as a tutor prepping students for taking the ACT. Additionally, I have also been a nanny for the past seven years. I love working with kids, and I will do whatever I can to help them be successful.
I have had a passion for teaching since I was a little kid. I have worked with children in many different capacities, and I love being able to help them and see them learn.
I am currently a college student studying elementary education with an endorsement in English as a Second Language.

I value relationships with my students, and I believe we will be more successful if there is a line of trust, so I like to start by developing a relationship and establishing some trust. From there, we can find different areas where they may need additional help and support, and we can begin working on improving those areas and skills.
I have worked with a wide range of students, from advanced students to students who needed a little extra support. During my time volunteering in elementary schools, I have challenged students who are advanced to increase their learning, I have worked with students who have special needs, and I have worked with students who just need a little extra support to help them understand a wide variety of concepts.
