About Steven
Hi There,
I am in my last year as an Applied Mathematics major. I will be receiving my bachelors degree this year. I am currently 29. I decided to attend college later in life because sometimes life gets in the way of things. I am an understanding person. I know that students have many different learning styles and teaching needs to be tailored just so. I will work with you to find a style of learning that best suits you and not myself.
My goal is to help anyone who wants to learn math, because math is everything.

First I ask them what they think they need help with. The next part depends on where they are at in the subject matter. If they are brand new to a subject I will setup a lesson plan that tries to narrow down the best learning style for them.
If a student is say in the middle of a class and needs help that is a little different. I will have these students go through one of their problems and just watch how they go about it. I feel you can learn a lot about a students issues and learning style by watching how they solve math problems.
From there it can be a very fluid process. I don't like to have things fully set in stone. Each student is different and I as the tutor need to be able address those different needs.
