About Nicholas
I founded Think Big Tutoring Company in February 2020, where I focus on SAT, ACT, and Regents prep for high school students, primarily for academically disadvantaged students in underserved areas. This project is also geared towards reducing academic disparities, offering career guidance, and teaching active learning skills through one-on-one tutoring and academic advising. I also created a mentorship program to guide students in my college, particularly freshmen and sophomores, towards academic excellence and research excellence through one-on-one advisement. This initiative is primarily for students who are first-generation and/or underrepresented minorities.
I am a junior at Manhattan College majoring in Biochemistry with a Pre-Med concentration. I have been tutoring for two years now.

The joy of seeing a student grow from a C student to an A student gives me eternal motivation and drive to devote my time and energy to implement efficient strategies for any student to succeed in any STEM-related class. I always ensure my students to practice the material on their own and give feedback on their note-taking and studying habits. I adjust sessions based on their individual needs and help orient their focus taking their life circumstances into consideration.
