About Julie
I am a math teacher, academic tutor and curriculum writer. I have worked in public education for 20 years and as an academic tutor for over 10 years. I am certified to teach all subjects (reading, math, science and social studies) in grades 1 through 8. I am also certified to teach high school Mathematics. I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2. I have tutored for the PSAT , SAT, and GED.
I love working with students and helping them understand math. There is nothing more satisfying than helping to instill a feeling of success in a student when they overcome a challenge. This attitude shift can help them in many areas of their life not just academically!
I have worked with students from 1st grade to Calculus. This broad understanding of math allows be to able to break down difficult concepts into understandable chunks for struggling students .
