About Rocco
As a college student at Georgetown University, I have recently been in the same shoes as many of my students. Throughout high school I struggled with study habits, but with the help of tutors I was able to "learn how to learn." My philosophy as a tutor is to teach the students to be self-sufficient, while also creating a fun and motivating enviroment to learn in. In 2019, I graduated from Georgetown Preparatory High School, earning 5s on AP Calculus AB, AP Statistics and AP Macro-Economics. Math is my strongsuit, as well as ACT and SAT tutoring. Having taken both the ACT and SAT various times has taught me what works and what does not, enabling me to improve my ACT score from a 30 to a 34 within weeks.
Growing up with three younger siblings, I was always helping them with their homework. After years of tutoring my siblings, I figured I could tutor other kids as well, joining a peer tutoring program at my high school.
I am currently a student at Georgetown University majoring in Finance and Accounting.

When first working with a new student, I like to get a feel for where they are at with the material, as well as how they learn. This information allows me to better structure my curriculum to fit the student's need and create a more effective use of our time.
All types of students. While I am able to teach AP Calculus to a high school senior, I am also confortable working with elementary schoolers and anyone in between.
