About Sarah
I'm a current high school math teacher, so I am very familiar with all levels of high school math classes and I also am very familiar with things that students struggle with. I have used and develop multiple methods of remediation throughout my career. I have been instrumental in helping countless students improve their skills, and more importantly, improve their math confidence.

When I was at Bradley University, I tutored students in the math lab. I found that a lot of my students had really, really low math confidence. I found true enjoyment with helping them understand and find success in mathematics.
I have a mathematics and secondary education degree from Bradley University. I have been teaching high school math for 11 years.

When I work with a new student, I have an open conversation about the successes and struggles the student has had in math. I also ask the student to explain the structure of the class and the content the class has already covered. Then I look at notes, assignments, and samples of the student's work to get an idea of where they are at. By this time, I should have a pretty good idea of where we should begin.

Perfect! Mrs. Knapp's assistance is making a big difference for my daughter with algebra. She is able to grasps concepts that she was struggling with before.
Perfect! Mrs. Knapp was wonderful with our daughter in 11th grade for precalculus. She was great with communication about the session before and after. Our daughter is gaining confidence in some of the skills she was struggling with. We highly recommend Mrs. Knapp!

Mrs. Knapp does an excellent job explaining the concepts in a way my kids understand. Both of my kid’s confidence has improved, along with their general math knowledge. Mrs. Knapp is also very professional, for example, scheduling sessions is easy and she provides constructive feedback. Ultimately, my kid’s math grades have improved!
Mrs. Knapp is accommodating and willing to schedule sessions based on needs of the student.
She really worked with my son understanding the basics of math, having visuals and practicing.
