About Candice
The Ladder Method, founded in 2012 and based in Los Angeles, CA, is an executive functioning and study skills coaching company serving middle school, high school, and university students, as well as adults. Built on a proprietary curriculum created by founder and Chief Education Officer Candice Lapin, the program teaches practical systems for organization, time management, planning, task initiation, working memory support, and follow-through. Services include one-to-one executive functioning and study skills coaching, academic tutoring across core and AP subjects, and test preparation for ISEE, ERB, HSPT, and SSAT. The company also provides professional development and an executive functioning curriculum for schools and institutions.
Coaching is delivered by trained coaches within a supervised, team-based model that emphasizes consistent implementation, accountability, and measurable progress using data-informed benchmarks. Clients are matched with a coach aligned to their goals and learning profile, and plans are adjusted through ongoing oversight. The Ladder Method offers a free 30‑minute discovery call to understand needs and determine fit.
