About Nicholas
Private school math teacher offering one-on-one tutoring to middle and highschool students struggling with pre-algebra, algebra, and pre-calculus level classes. I've been a math teacher for two years and a teacher of a variety of different courses for five years. I believe that all students are capable to attaining success in math and wish to help students throughly understand, appreciate and do well in all math-related courses.
Seeing students both understanding math like they never did before as well as seeing students succeed in different classes is a passion of mine; putting in the work to improving a student's math skills and seeing the final result is worth the patient training and practice with any student.
Since graduating in 2014 I wanted to be a teacher, and ever since elementary school I've always loved the subject of math! Math in general involves the study of numbers and how they are used in everyday life. The abstract nature of numbers either causes great joy or great fear to those who are in a math class, but it i particularly enjoyable for myself to see students who struggle math suddenly "get" how the abstract nature of math works, which is why I took up the role of a math teacher.
I have taught math as a teacher for two years, both in traditional classroom settings and in one-on-one tutoring settings.

Students and their guardian(s) are first interviewed to discuss what math level the student is currently enrolled in, how the student is doing, and what goals ought to be set for the student's future success. A regular meeting schedule is then set forward, with the student usually meeting with the tutor once or twice a week for one hour sessions. These sessions can last for the span of one month to indefinitely depending on the needs and wishes of the student.
