About Sara
Hello! I am a passionate math tutor with over 7 years of experience working with students of all ages and skill levels. I am a certified secondary-level teacher and will be teaching Calculus and Computer Science this school year at a local public school. I have Master's Degree from the University of Vermont in Complex Systems and Data Science, which is a field that connects and applies the fields of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science. Throughout college and graduate school, I have done extensive research on math anxiety in middle and high school students, and have worked with many students who are anxious about math. I am excited to meet new students and help people to understand and do well in math!
I am a certified teacher and teach AP Calculus. I have over 7 years of tutoring experience. At the University of Vermont, I earned a B.S. in Mathematics, B.S. in Secondary Education, and M.S. in Complex Systems and Data Science. Through my Master's I learned to combine and apply fields of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.

When meeting with a new student, I like to first get an idea of how they are feeling about the math they are learning. If they are nervous, I try to figure out why. We then make a plan to fill in the holes that lead to anxiety, and then work to learn the topic at hand.
I have worked with students of all ages and all skill levels.
