About Armando
Nippon Kempo Martial Arts Association/ Team NKMA was established as an organization to support my families style and Karate School. The goal with my school and style is to provide low cost karate clases to all students of all ages in the community. Today we have been teaching classes at low cost for over 20yrs in the Sacramento area, and my goal is to continue this crusade. Karate and the martial arts are teachings and fitness that has become very pricey here in the United states with classes ranging from $100 or more on average. Today my classes are no more then $25/mo with a onetime annual sports insurance fee. I believe with having a low tuition I will be able to bring more students into this discipline and show them the art and teachings of Karate.
I have personally been a practitioner since the age of 6. I will be turning 28 this year which will mark 22yrs of practicing. I have been a black belt and a instructor for over 15yrs. The style of Karate I teach is a combination with Open Style Japanese Kempo and Traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate. I have won international championships as well as local competition here in CA and the US.
I currently have 9 students at my dojo here in Sacramento.
