About Blair
I'd love to help you reach your goals on the horn!
As part of my doctoral studies in horn performance I am creating and studying different teaching methods for all levels.
I've been teaching for over 10 years and I have a degree in psychology including classes in performance and teaching techniques.
My favorite part about teaching is learning the unique needs of each student and providing them with the teaching style and method that will help them most succeed.
I'm currently finishing a doctorate degree at Stony Brook University in order to teach collegiately.
I have an undergraduate dual-degree in music and psychology.
Classes during a Performance Certificate program at the Manhattan School of music in Teaching Techniques.

I like to start off with a free "getting to know you" session so I can learn your goals and see if we would be a good fit!
Elementary to seniors! But I've spent the most time with high school/undergraduate level students and group elementary classes.
If you have a goal in mind, look for a teacher that is prominent in that area of expertise! I would also look for someone with degrees toward education because playing well and being a good teacher don't always go hand in hand.

Blair is an incredible horn player, teacher and person! She shares her enthusiasm and expertise in a way that her students are excited about horn. Blair is an AWESOME teacher, I made so much progress working with her!!! She always gave really good pointers, honed in on things I needed to improve, and overall made me a way better horn player, all while being super approachable and encouraging. 10/10 would recommend :)
