About Bekah
Ever had one of those teachers where you feel like you can ask them anything and they will never make you feel stupid? THAT is how I teach. I will never forget that first year of medical school. There was so much to learn! One thing I took from that was that you just can NOT memorize everything. There MUST be a better way to actually learn high volumes of material. (NOT just medical school) Whether it is to take it in bite-size pieces, having a fun story attached to it, or a crazy mnemonic I can help get you there. And you WILL succeed. You CAN actually ask all those questions that you felt so stupid asking others. And I will answer them. When you succeed, I succeed, and that will make us both very happy!
The boring part: I am an M.D. by trade but I’ve always loved teaching and tutoring the Sciences. I’ve been doing it on the side for over 15 years. Part of my job is helping people understand complex concepts. I work with science focused high school students all the way through graduate students, including medical students and nursing students.
I don’t believe that there is just one learning style for every person. I think that every person learns differently, and it takes getting to know someone and learning what that style is for each person. It is my job to think outside of the box. Nobody should give up! Everyone can be a rockstar.
Sciences are my specialty. I love to work with students in chemistry (also AP and honors chemistry), biochemistry, microbiology, organic chemistry, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and just about anything in the science realm. (Except physics!)

I would have never made it through medical school without her! She not only tutors, but she actually TEACHES the material and makes sure you understand it and not just memorize it. I still use the techniques she taught me in residency and beyond. If you hire her, you are not just hiring a tutor, you are also hiring a life coach. I had a lot going on during medical school and she gave me the best life advice and helped me through all of that as well. She is the BEST at what she does!
