About Tim
I am a masters student in mathematics about to begin a PhD with an extremely strong academic record. I have tutored in a variety of setting throughout my degree, from primary school to A-level. I have been employed as a personal tutor for several companies, which involved tutoring in schools as well as private pupils.

I approach each topic individually, first assessing pupil understanding, then proceeding to illustrate the topic with problems and examples. Each lesson is a constant conversation, and I try to appeal constantly to the pupils understanding. This way I can see what they do or don't understand, and tailor the problem solving to whatever portion of the topic needs practise. The focus is always on exam questions, since the skill of reading the question text carefully is often as important as the mathematics itself.
