About Evan
I’m Evan! I studied with scholarship at Berklee College of Music. My college degree is in Professional Music with concentration in Vocal Performance. Throughout my 3-year degree experience I have gained knowledge in music and vocal function that enhanced my skills as a musician and vocalist. I became a professional musical theatre trained singer who’s able to sing in other contemporary styles (such as Pop/R&B). This makes me a versatile performer who can both sing and dance professionally. Before going to college, I specialized in commercial/Hip-Hop choreography. Dancing and creating choreographies for well-known artists in Cyprus and Greece gave me the experience and knowledge to work with upcoming artists and teach seminars in Boston. I am diligent and conscientious; and have the desire to do all my tasks well and carefully. I take obligations to others seriously and my purpose is to help people achieve their own personal goals.
The harmony core I studied at Berklee, in combination with arranging, ear training, conducting, tonal harmony and counterpoint, including music technology courses, have provided me with a broad-based musical vocabulary, important skills and a well-rounded musical background. The private voice lessons with the best and most experienced instructors is what has further expanded my practical skills as a singer. My natural inclination in teaching, has led me in studying Vocal Pedagogy and Elements of Vocal Technique which were focused on the Estill Voice Training Model.
The ultimate goal of teaching is to promote learning and propagate the knowledge from one to another. The reason why I wanted to become a teacher is because I want students to know that they have people who really believe in them, support them and that no matter what background they have or where they come from in this world, they can still do and be anything they like and set their mind on.

When working with a new student, the most important aspect of the entire process is building a rapport. At this point in time, students have potentially struggled with various topics, so the importance of instilling confidence in them before any tutoring begins is essential to their success.
At the beginning, students create a detailed description of their current situation and their desired results. Next, we come up with a set of goals and how to implement the plan of action appropriately in order to accomplish said results. This plan depends on the immediate needs of the student, but many plans include some sort of accommodation to pre and post-session communication in order to track progress.
