About Michelle
I design One of a Kind Jewelry...I teach wire wrapping Seaglass or Gemstones, also Silver metal clay. I been teaching beading classes and Silversmithing Classes. I use to own a store in Canton, Tx, where I sold all my jewelry. I standout from others because I put 200% when designing A special piece of jewelry for my clients. I started in 2000 studying beading classes and jewelry designing also started becoming a Silversmith. I come from a family of artist and my mother had several Masters Degrees in Art. While I was in college I was a professional dancer and I studied fashion merchandising. I've always had a passion for designing arts and with dancing I became an incredible dance choreographer and Dance Instructor. With all these different types of art education's that I've studied throughout my life is what makes me stand out as a passionate instructor and extremely passionate in any type of jewelry designing.
I'm a professional silversmith, I love making jewelry from just scratch. Designing jewelry is extremely therapeutic for me and I want others to experience the same type of gratification. I believe in teaching my students correctly the first time teaching the basics. Once you've conquered the basics, then that's where we will reach out and learn there is many different ways to do one design. That's were your creativity will come in and you can develop your own style of designing, when it comes with silversmithing or beading jewelry. On Instagram TV I do that my three minute tips on how to save money and how to find household items to use especially if you're just beginning and not sure if you want to invest a lot of money for tools. I'm very passionate about teaching safety and maintenance of your tools and again how to save money. Again, learning how to make a beautiful jewelry. The biggest fear for most students in silversmithing is the fire torch, by the time we're through working in that area you will be extremely competent in working with a fire torch. I do have a group page on Facebook where I was going to start teaching beading classes, but for the moment I've had to put it on the back burner. I am completely re-editing my entire group page. In the beginning I have extra tools that I can loan to my students for learning beading or silversmith designing. you want to learn silversmithing we will work with what I have and then Within one year you will be designing and making your own jewelry. Actually within the first month you will make your first piece of jewelry from scratch.
The same thing if you choose beating which is something completely different people don't understand this but there is a lot of money invested into beading and if there's a lot of money invested in silversmithing. I do I have enough tools to get started but once you make your mind up whether you want to just do beading or silversmithing you're going to eventually want to get your own tools and that's where I also can help you get tools that you will need and not waste money.
One of my biggest accomplishments are my clients. They come to me to design them jewelry that's not trendy. Also if a client ask me not to post their design, It will not be on any of my social media accounts. There are some rings that are trendy that I do enjoy making but usually it's for myself or for family members or if a client well asked me to make that for them. I consider trendy Jewelry like the love knot ring, bracelets and necklaces. Spinner rings are trendy but I've come up with ways to make spinner rings one of a kind.
spinner rings are very good for fidgety people and it's true it is considered a meditation device personally I think everybody should have a spin a ring. Anyway that was just a few examples.
