About Kerri
Hi there! ....... I absolutely love teaching and have taught privately in Ventura and Santa Clarita for the past 10 years. My passion for painting started early in life and I have been working professionally for the past 25 years. I am fairly new to the Santa Barbara area but plan on teaching and living here permanently. I am currently a Signature Member with American Women Artists and have been juried into two museum shows in the past two years. “Perspectives Of The American Experience” at the Rockwell Museum in New York and “Looking West” at The Steamboat Museum in Steamboat Springs Colorado. Other organizations include American Portrait Society, Oil Painters Of America and The California Art Club. I continually participate in local and national juried shows and have won many awards.
I instruct all ages and levels and focus on providing not only knowledge and practical information, but keeping the painting process itself as simple as possible. To communicate clearly and encourage questions. Knowing that each student has individual goals and desires I make a point to get to know what each student would like to achieve so I can help direct them more specifically..... I have always felt that teaching is a privilege. There is so much personal satisfaction when you can share and help others discover their personal abilities and potential. When students begin to see progress and improvement in their work as artists the experience can be truly transformative, having the potential to profoundly change and impact their personal life in a more positive and meaningful way.

I was always deeply moved by great art especially by Kerri McAuliffe’s paintings and charcoal drawings and always wanted to express myself creativity. I knew I had it in me but nothing ever came out right until Kerri shared with me simple painting principles and knowledge that chanced everything! She really taught me how to see out of the box and create on a whole new level...soul level. So grateful for her in my life.
