About Jessica
I have been a tutor for 10 years, with experience tutoring students 7th grade through undergraduate studies as well as medical school students. I have been a tutor for medical school for the last 3 years. I ample experience teaching science and math courses. I love reading, especially fiction and literature. I am also athletically active; my favorite sport is basketball. In addition to being active, I enjoy being outdoors and hiking. I am a social person, so many of my interests (such as sports and the outdoors) are activities.
I help students find their best learning style in order to maximize their learning potential. I enjoy working with students to achieve their best especially when they feel defeated because every student at some point in their academic career has felt that way.
I am a 4th year medical student a few months from graduating. Currently I provide individual tutoring for underclassmen in course work as well as STEP 1 and STEP 2 CK. I am a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Before working with a student I want to find out what they feel their weakness or struggles are with the material. Then we work throught questions so I can get an idea of how best to aid their learning and fill in holes either in knowledge, making connections between topics in the material, or test taking strategies. We work together to build confidence.
