About Shar
I have a studio arts degree and have been a photographer for 25+ years. I love finding that unique perspective and catching the light when it feels like magic. I'd love to teach you to hone your craft and maybe turn it into a career!
(concealed information)
I grew up in Vancouver, Canada, so right off the bat I'd like to say, "I'm sorry." I was born in a perpetual state of apology 😝 My accent is mostly gone but the 🇨🇦 spirit is still strong.
I love working alongside anyone who is passionate about learning, and brave enough to try something new! It's so exciting to see growth and passion develop in a person, and I'd love to walk with you down that road.
(concealed information)
I have been a photographer hobbyist since I was about 13 years old. I have been shooting professionally for the last decade, and I have studio art degree from The Myers School of Art at The University of Akron (which is accredited through the National Association of Schools of Art and Design).

I like to teach the basic functions of a camera, kind of break it down so that it's less intimidating. Then I delve into composition and creativity. I have fun assignments to give you that will help you develop technical skills, which we then discuss and critique!
