About Kate
Amature through pro, I've helped people learn photography technically and for those making a career of it, the business on how to do it. My students have gone on to start full time businesses and my peers have learned how to make more off their businesses. I help people learn the basics of photography through career coaching for their photography businesses.

Former vice president of ASMP for South Florida with over 200 members (I hosted seminars for photographers across all levels of professionalism).
Speaker on seminars about social media's effectivitiy as a revenue source and how to maximize your reach and rank.
Students and professionals started finding me for counseling. I love helping people and realized it was very rewarding to watching them utilize the tools they are taught and succeed. I've been asked to full time teach but my career keeps me pretty busy so I haven't found a way to schedule it that works.
Graduated in 2004 from Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Photography

Find out their level of knowledge, their goals for what they want to do/know, and then put in place a ciriculum for teaching them that.
Enthusiasts through professional. Everyone from just out of high school to adults who want a new career to professionals who want to earn more.
Interview them. :) Make sure you vibe and have an idea of your goals so you can ask them if they believe they can help you reach them.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What are your strengths and weaknesses? They don't have to be specific to photography. But knowing what you are good at and where you want to improve is the base of learning.
What are your goals? Know if you want to just take better images, learn to process the pictures you take better, or want to make six figures a year off your photography. Those goals change the ciriculum of your teacher.
What is your time commitment you can give to this? Is this a one time visit you need or do you feel like a year or more is going to be do-able. If your goals are big but you only have time for one lesson you may need to do more work on your own and the lesson would best be spent teaching you how to learn on your own. The reverse of this is true too, if you have a lot of time but just want to learn how to better use a camera to take pictures for fun, you may only need one lesson and then your teacher can give you assignments so you can practice on your own.
