About Summer
I am a recent graduate with a Masters in Microbiology and Immunology. I have been tutoring for almost 6 years, throughout my undergraduate and graduate career. I am very patient, flexible with schedules, and will work one on one with a student to work through the problem at hand. I believe communication, practice and questions are key to learning and helping students. I have graduated with high GPAs in both colleges attended, excellent grades in each course; I have taken numerous science courses involving biology, chemistry, physics and alot of other wide range of topics within the science field.
I started tutoring my second year of undergrad. My professor suggested to me that I help students out in our class that were struggling and then from then on I continue to tutor and fell in love with it.
I have an undergrad degree as well as a graduate degree in biology with a minor in chemistry as well as a masters in microbiology and immunology. I have done research in various fields of medicine and science and I have worked with numerous professors and students over the past six years.

First identify with the student what are the problems or issues they're facing with the subject. Then I create a learning plan with them in order to tackle the problem the best way possible. Then finally we begin to work through the problems together focusing on the main areas.
I have worked with a wide range of students. From non-science majors to science majors applying to graduate schools in medical schools, I have taught many different students with many different types of learning.
Try to look for a teacher in your specific area that you were looking for and need help in
I tutor at a high school student that was in AP chemistry she was feeling at the beginning of the semester and she was able to complete the semester with an a in the class. I wash a struggle and cry however we pulled through together and she was able to pass the class with flying colors.

Ask yourself what do you want to get out of your tutoring? Is it a better grade or to improve your knowledge in general? A student should definitely have an idea of what do want to receive by getting tutored
