About Kathleen
Understanding Science and critical thinking skills are very important to me and I want to help others appreciate natural sciences. I have a Master's degree in Science education. I hold a lifetime teacher certification in secondary science in Texas and Colorado. I have taught regular and AP physics in high school and physics and astronomy for non-physics majors at the University of North Texas. I retired after a total of 25 years in science education teaching and tutoring general chemistry, earth sciences, astronomy and physics. I enjoyed coaching many successful UIL science competition teams in Texas, so I can share many ways to help students understand and be successful in science.
