About Mary
I love teaching! Piano, Guitar, Bass and Ukelele is offered. Lessons at my studio in person, virtual or a combination are available. People of any age and ability including visually impaired have come to me over my 33 years teaching. Guiding students eager to learn and helping them to grow into their instrument and love of music is what I continue to enjoy. Mary🙂🎵
30 years ago I started with a senior citizen who recommended a family of three to me who were homeschooled. It took off from there. I moved back to OH and started teaching at a private Catholic school in their after school program. From there I started teaching full-time in my own home studio.
Studied at Saddleback colllege in Mission Viejo, CA
iAlso a member of music teachers of California for whom I was certified with. I also studied music for young children from Canada

start students playing music immediately.
Preschool through older adult and some special needs.
Look for a teacher when you’re comfortable with. Make sure what you wanted music is what they can provide. Some teachers are all into competitions. If that is what you’re looking for that is good. Some teachers like myself are into music for life. That means that I want to teach a student how to be able to play piano in their life and enjoy the music that they would like to play.
i have two recitals a year and the Spring one is always special because I love to give awards out to students for their special years in Piano such as three years, five years and exit.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The student should think about how comfortable they are with the teacher with whom they will be spending a half an hour to an hour with each week

Perfect! Mary ya a great fit with my daughter
We are very pleasedPerfect! Friendly, asked what I wanted to work on, or my goals. She came up with a plan, and said she was flexible if my needs or goals change. I've had 3 lessons so far, and have enjoyed and played my ukulele more in 3 weeks than the entire 6 months prior to my lessons!
Perfect! Mary contacted me right away. We discussed the particulars of what I was interested in learning, and I asked for her input. She is down to earth, a professional with a sense of humor, and I already had my first lesson and loved it!
