About Jennifer
Hello! My name is Jennifer Su and I am a board-certified music therapist and a classically trained pianist. I am excited to offer classical piano lessons, adaptive piano lessons, music therapy sessions, and music theory lessons. I have been playing piano for 22 years and studied at the Frost School of Music in Miami, FL. While I offer traditional piano lessons, I also offer adaptive piano lessons which means I work with students and parents to make individualized goals! Whether that means you are an adult trying to learn how to play chords to your favorite songs, or a special needs kid who needs a teacher with a music therapy background, I will do my best to meet all your needs! As a music therapist, I have worked with several populations in different settings including school-aged children with Autism, older adults with dementia, teenagers with emotional disabilities, and medical settings like cancer care, pediatric care, and neuro-rehabilitation. As a piano teacher, I strive to make my students well-rounded in all aspects of music which include ear training and music theory, but above all my goal is to help my students discover their own version of joy in music! I recognize that everyone is different and I work to hone their strengths and strengthen their weaknesses in a safe and welcoming environment.
