AJ has been my teacher in the past and it was a fantastic experience. To put it simply, working with him has shown me the incredible benefits of getting a great teacher; he's had a positive impact on every aspect of my playing.
I was particularly impressed by how much he genuinely cared about improving my playing.

As a piano teacher, AJ earns my highest recommendation. I was lucky to be able to work with him.

I love having my weekly lessons with AJ. He really digs deep into each individual note with me. His enthusiasm towards music is very inspiring and it keeps me motivated to practice each week. He also will send me messages throughout the week with either practice notes or links to good recordings of whatever piece(s) we are working on together.

AJ is an excellent teacher and person. He is quick to spot whatever is holding you back from reaching your piano-playing objectives, and he will come up with innovative ways to overcome them. He draws from a lot of different examples to help you understand how to improve your playing. I've been taking lessons from AJ for over a year now and he's helped me immensely to appreciate and play classical music.

AJ is a wonderful instructor who is never short on extremely thoughtful and helpful insights. I’ve never played for AJ and asked for feedback and found him to have nothing to say. His ideas on musicality and how to treat the music like it’s special are often original but well-informed, and he is particularly gifted at articulating these. Having studied with a variety of extremely successful professional and performing pianists, he offers a great deal of useful technical advice that would surely benefit intermediate-advanced students. AJ also studied piano pedagogy, specializing in teaching younger students the piano, so certainly he is also equipped to teach beginners. AJ was one of my first teachers when I started piano at age 19, and now at 23 I feel I owe much of my progress to him!
