About Ashleigh
My tutoring stands out because I am a very patient person and a great listener. I like to take the nessicary time to build a rapor with my students, listening to them and figuring out how best they learn.
When I first started tutoring I was in college and I only took tutoring jobs to earn extra money. Although it wasn't my passion at first, I quickly learned how rewarding the work is. It is an incredible experience to watch a student grow, learn, and succeed. Working one-on-one with students makes it easy to see the positive difference being made in their life.
I graduated from Wheaton College in Norton, MA in 2019. During my time there I studied psychology, more specifically, child development. While at Wheaton I also ran the Wheaton College Tutor Outreach Program, which connected the students at Wheaton to local elementary/middle/high schoolers who needed tutors. I have worked in private behavioral school as well as public schools. I am fully vaccinated and CPR certified!

When working with a new student I usually try to get to know their personality a bit and build trust with them. I also like to take work from whichever subject they need help in, do a few problems with them, and break it down step by step. This lets me assess where the student's skill level is, and easily see the root of any issues. From there I can tailor a unique curriculum that benifits the student.
