For a student with no prior experience, I begin by teaching note-reading. The student's ability to read is the key to learning music independently. For a student with prior experience, I evaluate their needs and work with them to meet those needs.
All ages and levels from age 5 to senior citizens, beginner to advanced.
Look for a teacher that also spends time performing. If you want to learn to play piano, go to someone who also plays professionally.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Piano lessons are a commitment. Be sure that you have the time to practice and that you are willing to follow through on that commitment.
