About DeAnn
With a music degree and studies at the Stella Adler Acting Academy is Hollywood, CA, I have over 40 years teaching/coaching all ages, from hobbyists to career oriented students, focusing on each individual student's goals, whether it be audition prep, stage performance, method acting, vocal technique, singing for fun, piano chord progression, or simply learning to read music.
Seeing increased self-confidence and sense of accomplishment in students is what I enjoy most about my work. I am just as passionate about working with 1st graders, as I am about assisting experienced performers or retired professionals who just want to have fun.
My lessons are custom individually customer in a fun environment.
Having studied piano, singing, and percussion, in high school I was asked by a music professor to start teaching private lessons. During that time I realized my love for teaching music was strong as my love for performing it. That's when I decided to major in music.
In addition to years of study and performance, I have a degree in music and studied at the prestigious Stella Adler Acting Academy. In addition to teaching and coaching, I managed actors in Hollywood California.

I offer a meet-and-greet 30-minute introduction for students to get to know me and see the studio. This also allows me to learn just what the student hopes to accomplish with lessons.
I have worked with professional performers and beginners. Before moving to the Gulf Coast, I owned and taught over 40 lessons every week in my music and acting teaching studio in Winchester, TN. My students ranged from 3 to 74-years old.
Make sure the instructor has a personality that will allow you to enjoy the time spent together. If there is any uncomfortable feeling, keep looking for the right fit.
Seeing a once, very shy and self-doubtfilled student apply technique and confidence to land a much sought after role the stage musical production of Wizard of Oz was a thrill.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Why are you taking lessons? What would you like to achieve in the lessons? What is your end goal? How much time do you have to devote to your practice.

Perfect! I have been taking lessons from Ms DeAnn for two years. The lessons are very flexible and progress at my own pace. I have taken piano before but I never learned as much as I have from DeAnn.

My time with deann pushed music from being an interest to becoming my passion. Her patience, knowledge and dedication given to her students is unmatched. Now as a recording artist in Nashville, I am constantly blessed by the wisdom DeAnn gave me.
We have four girls who look forward to their time with DeAnn. She is an exceptional talent and gifted teacher! She takes the time to individualize each girl’s lesson, identifying their strengths and motivating them through their interest. There should be more stars to rate her appropriately!
Very dedicated teacher! Warm and loving! My daughter has learned a lot from her. She has become a dear friend to our whole family:)
