Throughout lessons, I enjoy getting to know my students, and learning what their interests and hobbies are. It is important for me to make sure the student is actually enjoying the piano along with learning the instrument. I find this can be accomplished easier if I find music genres the student actually enjoys to play.
I have worked with many different types of students. I have taught children as young as 3 and a half years old, and have had adult students up to age 60. I also have experience teaching the piano to students both with autism and ADHD..
