About Darcy
Darcy Shackelford:
I have been teaching piano in the Zionsville, IN area for 30+ years. Many of her students have or do participate in the ISSMA school music competitions and in the Indiana Arts Festival Competitions (formerly National Federation of Music). She has had students who have become jazz band accompanists or accompanists for the high school show choirs or have gone on to get music degrees at the University level.
Cara Shackelford:
Cara has been teaching flute, piano and saxophone in the Zionsville area for approximately 19 years. Many of her students have or do participate in ISSMA and in the Indiana Arts Festival Competitions (formerly National Federation of Music). Cara has a B.M. in flute performance from the University of Indianapolis and did further Masters work in flute performance and music history at Butler University while studying with Karen Moratz, primary flautist with the Indianapolis Symphony.
